The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the National Reference Centre for Authentic Food at the Max Rubner-Institut are hosting an international conference on food fraud, which aims to enhance the collaboration of authorities at European and international level.
The conference focuses on key topics in the fight against food fraud such as early-warning systems, approaches to fight food fraud, influences of geopolitical issues and climate change as well as data management challenges.
The conference language is English; the programme (see download-link below) includes presentations by speakers from national, European and international organisations.
Stakeholders with a particular focus on food issues and food fraud, including representatives from the competent ministries and authorities of other member states, EU institutions, consumer protection and industry associations, customs, justice, public prosecution, police, and from the media (specialised journalists) are most welcome to attend.

The „Konferenzzentrum” (Mauerstr. 27, 10117 Berlin) is located in Berlin-Mitte and within a walking distance from the Brandenburg Gate. You can easily reach the conference centre by public transport such as the underground or by bus. The nearest stops are either “U Mohrenstraße” or “U Brandenburger Tor”.
